Jam Turnovers

These flaky pastries are filled with the sweet jam of your choice and topped with a sugar glaze. They make a great brunch, snack or even dessert!

Ingredients

    • 1 sheet puff pastry
    • 1/2 cup Grandma’s Jam House jam (choose your favorite flavor!)
    • 1 whole egg, beaten
    • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
3. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 9 equal squares.
4. Place the squares on parchment paper.
5. Place a teaspoon of jam in the center of each square.
6. Fold the pastry so it forms a triangle.
7. Firmly press down the edges of the pastry with a fork.
8. Brush the tops of the pastry with the beaten egg.
9. Pierce holes in the top of each turnover with a fork.
10. Bake 18 – 20 minutes or until golden and puffed up. Remove from oven to cool.
11. Make the glaze by combining powdered sugar with the milk.
12. Stir until it becomes smooth, about 30 seconds to a minute.
13. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled turnovers.
14. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge up to three days.

Notes
• Make sure your puff pastry is cold.
• Don’t overfill the pastry.
