Apricot Bubble Loaf

This gooey, pull-apart Bubble Loaf is packed full of flavor and amazingly delicious!

*Try with any of our delicious flavors of Grandma’s Jam House jam!

Ingredients

    • 1 package dry yeast
    • 1/4 cup warm water
    • 1/2 cup milk, scalded
    • 1/3 cup shortening
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 3 3/4 - 4 cups flour
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 2/3 cup Grandma’s Jam House apricot jam*
    • 3/4 cup chopped nuts
    • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

    • Generously spray a 10-inch Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    • Soften yeast in warm water.
    • Combine scalded milk, shortening, salt, 1/3 cup sugar. Cool to lukewarm.
    • Add 1 cup flour and eggs. Beat.
    • Add yeast and 1 cup flour and beat again.
    • Add remaining flour and mix with a spoon. Knead until satiny.
    • Cover and let rise until double (about 1 hour).
    • Punch down. Let rest 10 – 15 minutes.
    • Divide dough into 20 balls.
    • Combine melted butter, ¾ cup sugar and cinnamon.
    • Dip 10 balls into butter / sugar mixture.
    • Arrange balls in pan. Top with half jam and half nuts.
    • Repeat second layer.
    • Let rise until double.
    • Bake at 350 for 30 – 35 minutes. Cool approximately 8 – 10 minutes and invert.
    • Serve immediately.
